Steinmüller Africa and Bilfinger Intervalve Africa are offering a 36-month apprenticeship programme in Boilermaking or Welding. The programme combines practical workplace training and theoretical learning to help candidates qualify as artisans with an NQF Level 4 equivalent qualification after passing the trade test.

Responsibilities

• Complete prescribed merSETA theoretical and practical modules
• Gain on-the-job experience during apprenticeship
• Complete assigned tasks from Mentor/Training Officer
• Provide practical support to production/site when required
• Pass trade test before programme completion

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with Mathematics (not Mathematical Literacy) and Physical Science, or N2
• N2 with relevant trade subjects is advantageous
• Physically and medically fit
• Clear criminal record
• 35 years old or younger
• Proof of residence required
• Must reside within 50 km radius of Kriel Power Station
• Willing to relocate to Bethal or surrounding areas if needed
